SBCC's Scheinfeld Center Presents a Conversation with Pamela Lopker on Journey to Success

Last Friday, as part of Santa Barbara City College's Enlightened Entrepreneurship Series, Pamela Lopker spoke in a conversational format to the full house that was in attendance at the Schienfeld Center. Pamela Lopker is the founder and president of QAD. She has taken her team from $0 to $$250M in sales, and now has 200 employees. The audience had plenty of time for Q&A, and many topics were covered. A few of the discussions included the difference between working on what you're passionate about and working for economic security, salary differences amongst countries (USA and China, for example), gender preconceptions and women in technology, Pamela's very own blindspots in building her company, her management style, and where the new opportunities in technology are located. Thanks to Pamela for her insights and for sharing her experience!
